5. Memories
Composed by Gerardo di Giusto
The moment I heard the recording, my mind was transported to a beautiful space beyond my memories.
The images were smooth and strong. It was incredible to see how a score that could be considered a lifeless, eternal bronze statue could take on such beauty, sensuality, and full color through the performances of such great performers as Aska and Satoshi.
This recording is a wonderful gift to me. Thank you so much!
6. The Interrupted Time
Composed by Nobuyuki Nakajima
Aska's deep tone and Kitamura's sonic presence will always be special to me.
The title of their album is "Sound and Breath" and it made me want to smack my knee. It's like hearing music where sounds with various expressions and a wide variety of breaths blend together, burst together, and blend together.
7. Praise the Spring and Dance
Composed by Miho Hazama
This is a wonderful duo album by Asuka Murray, a violinist whom I trust wholeheartedly, and Satoshi Kitamura, a bandoneon player with whom I have always wanted to perform together. I was so happy when I was asked to write a short piece for this album, and inspiration immediately came to me.
This is an album that we hope you will enjoy, with the ensemble dancing with joy as their energy, and the sounds that resonate with the soul.
8. Festivo
